Multiplayer Audiovisual Communication Specialist

**The Volunteer’s Role**:
Cuso International is seeking a dedicated individual who will support the Urban Development Institute CENCA in the development and execution of communication strategies aimed at strengthening the activities of the Building Cities of Hope Project; where he/she will have direct contact with beneficiaries and generate material to make it visible in campaigns, networks and physical exhibitions.

This position seeks to strengthen the reach and impact of CENCA's work in urban agriculture, women's empowerment and food security, promoting community leadership and gender equality.

**As a volunteer, you will**:

- Design, write and produce communication materials in print and digital formats.
- Plan and execute communication campaigns.
- Manage and update the website and social networks of CENCA and associated projects.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, events and community outreach campaigns.
- Collaborate with the CENCA team to improve communication strategies.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, political social marketing and/or related careers

**Essential Background**:

- Development or implementation of communication, marketing and/or branding strategies.
- Good writing, editing of reports and publications
- Creativity, judgment and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Contribute with the CENCA team to improve outreach and dissemination of activities - Knowledge of and commitment to gender equality - Ability to adapt to different contexts and environments.
- Key professional experience in working under pressure, prioritizing tasks and deadlines.
- Additional tasks may be assigned at different times.

**Project - Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE)**

Cuso International will deliver the Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE) project, with a contribution from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) over seven years (2020-2027). SHARE aims to improve the economic and/or social well-being of the poorest, most marginalized and vulnerable people, particularly women and girls, in developing countries, to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. In addition to increasing the engagement of Canadians in international development and key global issues, this project will aim to increase the performance of country partners to deliver more inclusive, innovative and environmentally sustainable development initiatives that advance gender equality, in support of the action areas of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy.

The Institute of Urban Development - CENCA, is a non-profit organization specialized in issues of territorial development, improvement of habitat and environment, gender and solidarity economy. It contributes to the development of capacities and the design of public policies and in its activity it prioritizes work with social organizations and local governments.

Cuso International's terms and conditions allow you to lead a modest and healthy lifestyle similar to local living standards. This support package will cover basic living expenses for one volunteer and is not intended to cover home-based expenses (eg. loans, support payments, etc.) or luxury items such as imported items in placement or international personal travel.
