The project:
As we continue to expand our footprint across Peru and the wider LATAM Region. We are looking for a Security & Health, Safety and Welfare Lead - a professional who is capable of both providing a best practice assurance service on construction sites, as well as providing security assurance and office safety and wellbeing advice and support to our team of consultants across LATAM.SSD

You’ll be responsible for:

- Positioning, promoting and protecting the Mace brand in relation to health, safety and wellbeing.
- Providing leadership and direction to our in-country HSW team.
- Travelling regularly to individual projects to assure safe delivery and undertaking HSW inspections.
- Driving continual improvement in corporate KPI’s.
- Supervising the ongoing development of the client’s health and safety management system to support continuous improvement.
- Supporting the implementation of the management system, and all associated procedures, processes, and tools.
- Advising programme leadership by recommending strategic direction for all matters relating to security and health & safety on the program.
- Performing a visible role in health, safety and wellbeing management and guiding the client with regards to legal, contractual, and moral obligations, and international best practice.
- Keeping fully informed of all existing and proposed changes in applicable regulations and legislation.
- Supporting the client in the revision of contractor health and safety documentation, management, and delivery on site.

You’ll need to have:

- Background in large scale projects or programmes in remote areas, such as Mining or Oil & Gas.
- You will have local security knowledge, as well as strong relationships with both local authorities, clients and contractors.
- Experience with both Incident & Crisis Management alongside stakeholder groups.
- Background in Law Enforcement or Military strongly preferred.
- Risk Management & Business Continuity experience.
- Must be bilingual in both Spanish & English.

You’ll also have:

- Mining or Oil & Gas preferred.
- Local Security Knowledge.
- Across all programs.
- Experience of dealing with both clients & contractors.
- Background in law enforcement or military within Peru or LATAM.
- Experience of working on large scale projects in remote areas.
- Incident & Crisis Management with stakeholder groups.
- Regional Role covering all LATAM projects as required.

We are also open to discussing part-time, flexible, and hybrid working options if suitable within the role.
