We’re looking for people with the skills and vision to build a better tomorrow. Our Country General Counsel is responsible for all legal matters of Siemens for Ecuador, Bolivia and Perú. This role acts as business partner of the Siemens management and supports them in achieving the business targets, the development and implementation of legal strategies, contract management and the adherence to the law and to internal regulations.
Main Challenges
- You will manage all legal matters/risks and corporate matters of the assign countries (except labor and tax issues) with a special focus on project business and contract management.
- You will take initiative and contribute proactively to master business challenges by thinking entrepreneurial (balancing governance and business needs).
- You will be act as a trusted advisor of local management and regional General Counsel.
- You can drive cost optimization and lean principles to gain efficiencies and develop a foster an organizational culture of ownership, empowerment, transparency and “speak up”.
- You will embed and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and relevant legislation and regulations.
- You will train and coach colleagues across the business to improve overall awareness of relevant legal and compliance issues.
- You will be work and collaborate closely with regional Legal community and the Compliance organization.
What you need to make real what matters.
- Lawyer, with almost 10 years of relevant professional experience with a demonstrable track record of managing successfully legal risks in complex environments and of being a trusted advisor to management in law firms or legal departments of other multinationals
- Deep business understanding and passion to enable business transactions and to lead the change.
- Good network within local legal community and capability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong intercultural and communication skills to support your ability to explain complex legal and contract management matters and compliment your strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Fluency (high proficiency) in English and Spanish and able to work in coordination within the global Siemens legal team.
