**JOB OVERVIEW**

**Please note**: you must have at least 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator and 3+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk administration and development to be considered for this role.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITY**
- Administer, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and core IT infrastructure (Windows/Linux).
- Deploy, configure, and manage Splunk Enterprise / Splunk Cloud environments, including indexers, forwarders, search heads, and apps.
- Develop and optimize Splunk queries, dashboards, and alerts to monitor system health, performance, and security events.
- Integrate Splunk with third-party tools, log sources, and IT workflows.
- Automate recurring tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
- Perform routine system upgrades, patching, and security hardening.
- Collaborate with IT security, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to enhance incident detection and response.
- Create and maintain system documentation, procedures, and Splunk knowledge objects.

**EXPERIENCE**
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator (Windows and/or Linux).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk administration and development.
- Strong knowledge of system monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing).
- Familiarity with IT security concepts (SIEM, log correlation, incident response).
- Experience with automation/configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) is a plus.
- Splunk certification(s), such as Splunk Core Certified Power User / Admin is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to system reliability and security.
- Initiative and drive to do great things.
