Assistant Venue Coordinator

The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and organized professional to join the Commercial and Enterprise business unit. The role will facilitate the management of booked activities across the National Museum of Australia’s programs. This position will administer the Museum’s booking platforms, Privia and Bookings Canberra Excursion, to ensure all booking activity is captured and communicated to key stakeholders.

The role will use Privia to ensure that Museum venues and spaces are optimized for maximum revenue, to support growing the business of commercial event activities.

This position sits within the Commercial and Enterprise unit, which is responsible for the promotion and management of the Museum’s venues for internal and commercial use. It includes the management of bookings for a variety of programs, events, schools, venue management, including, but not limited to facilities activities. You will possess a well-defined customer service ethic and enjoy communicating and working with people.
