**NOTE: This position may be done from our office in Arequipa or remotely from anywhere in Peru**

**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Group Internal Control Manager, and as an integral part of Questel’s Finance Team, this role is responsible to assist in the implementation of the international economic sanctions framework, the anti-corruption framework in compliance with the Sapin 2 law, and the deployment of the internal accounting control framework at the group level with the aim to identify key risks within financial processes.

**Principal Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Sanctions**:

- Analyze customers and suppliers targeted by international sanctions and present the assessment results to the Internal Control Manager for review, followed by validation of the group management
- Maintain up-to-date third party sanctions assessment results
- Ensure sanctions assessment results are communicated to the relevant teams
- Conduct research on high risk jurisdictions and sanctions assessment regulatory guidelines to assist in the implementation of a sanctions policy
- Prepare communications and training on international sanctions to the employees

**Anti-bribery and Corruption**:

- Check the accuracy of the third party master data communicated by the group entities
- Assist in the drafting of the anti-corruption and whistleblower policies/procedures
- Analyze third party assessment results and report to the Group Internal Control Manager
- Assist in the implementation of anti-corruption training and communications

**Accounting Controls**:

- Assist in monitoring the progress of the accounting control plan completion
- Assist in analyzing the information collected via the accounting control plan and prepare reporting

In addition, this role is expected to contribute to various projects and initiatives to strength the Internal Control system and work on special projects and other duties as assigned by management

**Education and Experience**: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Legal or another related field required. In addition, any combination of education, experience and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information
- Experience in auditing, internal controls and compliance preferred
- Ability to manage a project timeline and raise risks to the project, as appropriate
- Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Highly motivated with a drive to continually improve and optimize
- Exceptional judgment, discretion, and integrity
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and a dynamic personality
- Ability to be pragmatic, diplomatic and persistent in the implementation of controls and frameworks and resolution of identified control deficiencies
- Willing to participate in a culture of responsiveness to strength relationships and ensure the needs and time of others are met and respected
- Fluent in English

Supervision is provided by the Group Internal Control Manager
