Job Descriptions:

We are looking for a passionate Legal Manager responsible for Peru, as part of the growing Xiaomi International Legal & Compliance Team in a highly dynamic and international environment.

You will support the business of Xiaomi with your proven expertise and pragmatic, business oriented and pro-active advice. Given the range of Xiaomi's business, the position will include all fields of Law and you will be required to step out of the comfort zone.

The offered Position is a great opportunity to manage the country with autonomy and be part of Xiaomi's expansion in the local market and region.

The position will include the following tasks:

  1. Legal Advice and Research on Laws and Regulations.

  2. Draft, Review and Negotiate a wide variety of National and International Contracts.

  3. Drafting of Guidelines, Policies and Templates.

  4. Review of Marketing Material and Marketing Campaigns.

  5. Communication with Regulatory Authorities.

  6. Coordination of disputes and claims, including managing external counsels.

  7. Support in promoting the Compliance Program.

  8. Liase with the HQ Legal Team.

  9. Assist in the further development of the Legal & Compliance Department.

Requirements:

Must Have:

  1. Peruvian Legal Qualification with at least 5 years of PQE. However, we hire people not CVs - If you have much more PQE than requested, feel free to apply and if you fit we will find the right environment and career opportunity for you.

  2. Fluent in English.

  3. Strong commercial sense and pragmatism.

  4. Being able to prioritize and handle tight deadlines.

Candidates without the above mandatory qualification and proven experience/expertise cannot be considered.

Nice to Have:

  1. Any additional qualification and/or exposure in LATAM region.

  2. Prior experience within Smartphone/Consumer Electronics industry.

  3. Any other language skills like Chinese, Portuguese or other languages skills.
