Position Details
We are seeking a Commercial Sales Executive to join our team in Peru. In this role, you will focus on supporting and executing commercial activities, including inside sales, client research, and market analysis. You will coordinate closely with the commercial and operations teams to ensure contracts, rates, and commercial initiatives are executed accurately and efficiently. This position does not involve direct communication with shippers or consignees, but requires strong analytical, coordination, and commercial skills to identify opportunities, track performance metrics, and maintain compliance with internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and support commercial activities, including analysis and coordination of sales initiatives (inside sales).
- Identify and research potential clients; support outreach strategies without direct shipper/consignee communication.
- Analyze commercial data, performance metrics, and market insights to support decision-making.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal commercial policies.
- Coordinate internally with commercial and operational teams to support ongoing projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 6–9 years of experience in commercial, sales, or operational roles within shipping or freight forwarding.
- Proven experience in inside sales, lead generation, or business development support.
- Ability to analyze customer needs and translate insights into commercial opportunities.
- Solid understanding of charter parties, freight contracts, and post-fixture procedures.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and coordination skills with high attention to detail.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple commercial leads simultaneously.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
