Role: Cloud & Infrastructure Architect
Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement hybrid infrastructure architectures integrating on-prem and Azure cloud.
  • Define cloud adoption strategies, migration plans, and modernization roadmaps.
  • Configure and manage Azure IAM (RBAC), Policies, Blueprints, and Governance frameworks.
  • Establish organization policies for compliance, security, and resource management.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and operational standards.
  • Implement Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) strategies for critical workloads.
  • Drive automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep).
  • Oversee network design (VNet, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway) and storage solutions.
  • Ensure high availability, backup, and failover mechanisms across Azure environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align infrastructure and cloud solutions with business objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in Microsoft Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Azure AD, Security Center).
  • Expertise in traditional infrastructure (servers, virtualization, networking, storage).
  • Hands-on experience with IAM, Organization Policies, and governance.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (AKS, Docker).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Ability to produce detailed architecture diagrams and service documentation.
  • Strong understanding of DR and BCP frameworks and implementation in Azure.
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC, GDPR).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud strategies.
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python).
