ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

Role Summary

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the Project Management team in coordinating and administering construction projects. This role focuses on managing documentation, scheduling, and communication between all stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. The APM will handle discrepancies, RFIs, change orders, procurement of submittals, and permit scheduling. This is primarily an administrative position requiring strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

· Coordinate and clarify discrepancies with all project stakeholders.

· Manage RFIs, purchase order change orders, and procurement of submittals.

· Handle project documentation and ensure timely completion of paperwork.

· Schedule structural inspections and final Certificate of Occupancy (CO) appointments.

· Manage permit scheduling and ensure compliance with project timelines.

· Utilize scheduling software to maintain accurate project timelines.

· Collaborate with the project team to ensure smooth communication and workflow.

· Maintain records and assist in reporting for project progress and compliance.

· Note: This role does not involve scheduling electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work.

Skills:

· 1–2 years of experience in construction or project coordination.

Experience in Commercial projects (Preferred)

· Background in construction administration is required.

· English Level:

· Proficiency in scheduling software is a must (Microsoft Project, Mac Project 365, Primavera or P6 is preferred but not required)

· Experience with project management tools such as SAGE (Corecon) and Procore (preferred).

· Highly organized and detail-oriented.

· Efficient and proactive in managing tasks.

· Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
