Data Dev Ops Engineer

Job purpose :

Responsible for designing, automating, deploying and maintaining datalake infrastructure based on open-source technologies. Ensures availability, scalability, and security of environments with CI/CD pipelines and system observability align with the regional core definitions for the environments.

Core responsibilities:

• Design, configuration, and administration of the Datalake tools in the environment
• Deployment and configuration automation.
• Fine tunning of the local workspaces for local data projects
• Container management and orchestration (docker and Kubernetes)
• Implementation and maintenance of CI/CD align with the regional team direction
• System performance, monitoring and observability (logs, metrics, traces)
• Management of application lifecycle across testing, staging and production
• Secure review and configuration of open-source services and basic devsecops practices
• Cost and infrastructure optimization
• Documentation of operational processes and fine-tuning configuration applied.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Operating Systems – Linux (preferable Rocky)
• Infrastructure as code (Ansible)
• Orchestration (Kubernetes K8), Openshift (nice to have)
• CI/CD – GitLab, Jenkins, FluxCD
• Cloud – AWS
• Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack)
• Version Control (Git)
• Networking (TCP/IP/DNS)
• Security (Hardening, secret management, Vault
• Databases (Oracle, PostgresSQL, MySQL, Valkey-Redis
• Additional Tools (Ceph, Trino, Superset)
• Post-graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics or a related subject.
• 3+ years of experience in Devops or related roles.
