What we’re looking for:As a Senior Software Engineer (PHP), you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework. Your main activities will include providing daily standups to clients, attending and providing insights in 1 on 1 meetings with managers, clients, Product Owners, and Project Managers, performing updates to projects based on client or product team requirements, being a key part of the Project kickoff meeting, creating project documentation, deploying projects and fixing bugs, documenting and testing APIs provided by clients, setting up the basic prototype system, setting up ngrok for testing and collaboration, collaborating with the Front-End team and other teams to meet project goals and deadlines, and optionally upskilling in front-end related frameworks.Your expertise in PHP, Laravel, and collaboration with cross-functional teams will contribute to the successful delivery of projects and the achievement of project objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clients with daily standups:
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project progress, discuss challenges, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure client expectations are met and deliverables are on track.
  • Attend and provide insights in 1 on 1 meetings:
  • Participate in 1 on 1 meetings with managers, clients, Product Owners, and Project Managers to gather requirements, provide updates, and offer insights from a technical perspective.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align project goals, prioritize tasks, and address any technical issues or considerations.
  • Perform updates to projects according to Clients/Product team/SOW needs:
  • Implement requested updates and changes to PHP Laravel projects based on client requirements, input from the Product team, or defined Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Ensure that the software solutions meet the specified functionality, performance, and quality standards.
  • Be a key part of the Project kickoff meeting:
  • Contribute to project kickoff meetings by providing technical expertise and insights.
  • Collaborate with the team to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Create Project Documentation:
  • Develop comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and user guides.
  • Ensure that project documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Deploy projects, fix bugs in projects:
  • Deploy developed applications to production or staging environments.
  • Monitor and fix any bugs or issues that arise during or after deployment.
  • Document/test APIs provided by clients:
  • Document and test APIs provided by clients for integration into the project.
  • Ensure proper functionality and seamless integration of APIs.
  • Set up the basic prototype system:
  • Set up the basic prototype system to demonstrate project functionality and features.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operation and usability of the prototype.
  • Set up ngrok:
  • Configure and set up ngrok for testing and collaboration purposes.
  • Enable secure access to local development environments for testing and sharing.
  • Collaborate with Front-End team and other teams:
  • Work closely with the Front-End team and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Collaborate on project planning, implementation, and troubleshooting to meet project goals and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Optional: UpSkill in front end related frameworks 

Qualifications:
  • Fluent English level
  • Previous working experience as a PHP Developer for 5 years.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks Laravel.
  • Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
  • Understanding of MVC design patterns
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
  • Understanding accessibility and security compliance
  • Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
