Further information is available at Job Title Director, Regulatory (LATAM) Location Lima, Peru Salary $1,000.00 - $1,600.00 Employment type Full‑time Seniority level Not Applicable Job function Legal, General Business, and Other Target Job Description We have an opportunity available for a Director, Regulatory (LATAM) to lead in the provision of key strategic regulatory support to the Paysafe Group including Pagoeffectivo and SafetyPay business in the LATAM region. In this role you will be leading on the provision of critical regulatory advice, working closely and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels across Paysafe including our Senior Leaders both locally and at Group level to support Paysafe to achieve our strategic objectives in the region. This role will be based in our office in LATAM, and you will have the flexibility to split your time between the office and remote working. Responsibilities Lead on the setting of Paysafe’s regulatory positioning in LATAM to support the realization of Paysafe’s growth objectives in a sustainable and regulatory compliant manner through the provision of advice that reflects both Paysafe’s objectives and known/expected regulatory requirements/developments. Position Paysafe as an industry leader in the influence of policy and law making by Governments and Regulatory bodies in the LATAM region through both direct engagement and through industry bodies. Identify business opportunities arising from the strategic positioning of Paysafe within the relevant regulatory regimes in LATAM countries and advise on how best to achieve those. Assess and communicate potential regulatory risk in a timely manner and lead on ensuring that the necessary mitigating actions are identified and implemented, particularly in respect of regulatory changes arising from both laws and regulatory expectations. Collaborate with internal colleagues to identify and advise on optimum approaches to enablement of business in a compliant and sustainable manner. Manage Paysafe’s relationship with key regulators, ensuring that they properly understand Paysafe’s business model and products and are provided with any relevant information in a clear, accurate and timely manner. Prepare and deliver periodic reporting on the LATAM regulatory environment to internal Committees and Boards. Lead on all discussions relating to regulatory matters in LATAM in both internal and external fora. Key Capabilities / Knowledge / Competencies Qualified lawyer with 5–7+ years PQE. Financial services regulation experience gained in a financial institution, regulator or financial services department of a law firm with experience interacting with the regulatory authorities. Deep knowledge of Payments/E‑Money industry experience required. High self‑motivation, positive ‘can‑do’ attitude and collaborative approach and the ability to lead and provide direction to colleagues. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues to multi‑disciplinary teams. Why work at Paysafe?
