Purpose of Role:


Under the direction of the Vice President, Global Sales, ESCO Division, the Managing Director -SSLA is responsible and accountable for all P&L aspects of the ESCO Division business in the territory.

This includes leading, managing, directing, and implementing business strategies and objectives for all the functions within for Spanish Language Speakers Countries in Latin America, and other facilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

  • Identify opportunities for short term and longterm growth of the company consistent with strategies and objectives. Direct the formulation and implementation of such plans and programs that are necessary to capitalize on such objectives.
  • Responsible for strategically positioning ESCO in our selected markets, providing effective sales leadership with direct responsibility for the region's sales growth through the development and implementation of strategies and policies in the marketplace.
  • Monitors market trends, legislative changes, and business developments that impact regional programs; evaluates and adjusts programs as necessary.
  • Create and nurture a customer focused environment and develop and execute sales and service strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Direct immediate subordinates in the management of their assigned areas to ensure their responsibilities attain objectives and satisfactory operation and performance are met in a manner consistent with established policies and programs.
  • Achieves financial objectives by forecasting needs, preparing a budget and managing expenditures.
  • Participate in and champion the commercialisation of new processes, products, and systems technology to meet the Division's objectives.
  • Provide constructive feedback to assigned personnel through written and verbal communication regarding performance, quality requirements, and safe work habits.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in business or engineering from four-year college or university. Master's degree, a plus. Ten + years of progressive experience in sales is a requirement. Substantial P&L responsibility over the last ten years.

Must have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing sales strategy; make versus buy decisions; greenfield developments; facility rationalization; automation; and capital expenditure justification.

Ability to effectively read and understand detailed financial statements

Substantial experience in managing international inter-company relationships and an inter-company value chain (customers and suppliers).

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectivly communication in English and Spanish language.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
