Full Job Description
The
Head of Procurement and Carrier Relations plays a pivotal role within our telecommunications and cloud company.

This leadership position is responsible for orchestrating procurement strategies and maintaining strong relationships with carriers to ensure the seamless operation of our services.

The role involves strategizing, negotiating, and optimizing partnerships to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.

**Core Responsibilities

  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies that align with the company's goals, encompassing equipment, services, and resources required for operations.
  • Supplier Management: Identify and onboard suppliers that meet the company's quality, cost, and service requirements. Foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and favorable terms.
  • Carrier Relations: Establish and maintain partnerships with telecommunication carriers, negotiating contracts and agreements that facilitate reliable connectivity and optimal service performance.
  • Cost Optimization: Monitor market trends and conduct cost analyses to identify costsaving opportunities. Implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce expenses.
  • Contract Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations with suppliers and carriers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and servicelevel agreements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and carrier relationships. Implement risk mitigation strategies to maintain business continuity.
  • Performance Evaluation: Monitor supplier and carrier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs). Drive continuous improvement and hold partners accountable for meeting service expectations.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and competitive landscape to inform procurement decisions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with finance teams to manage procurement budgets effectively and ensure cost control.
**Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement, supplier management, and carrier relations within the telecommunications and cloud industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract agreements.
  • Indepth understanding of telecommunications technologies, networks, and carrier services.
  • Excellent communication (English and Spanish or Portuguese) and interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, supplier performance, and cost structures.
  • Proactive problemsolving abilities and a commitment to driving continuous improvement.
