**Organizational Context**:
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (“the Federation”) is the world’s largest volunteer-based humanitarian network with 192 members National Societies. As part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, our work is guided by seven fundamental principles: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality. The Secretariat of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ (IFRC) strives to ensure focus, clarity, and efficiency and accountability in all results. The Secretariat, headquartered in Geneva, has five decentralized regional offices: one of which is the Americas, guided by the Secretariat strategies for implementation and areas of focus that builds on the vision of strategy 2030. The IFRC Regional Office for the Americas is organized in two main blocks: 1) a group of service-based departments and geographical configurations of (i) Country Cluster Delegation (ii) Country Office(s), as well as the Deputy Regional Director, under the direct management of the Regional Director; and 2) six building blocks composed by (i) Partnerships and Resource Development, (ii) Policy, Strategy and Knowledge; (iii) Communication, (iv) Disaster and Crisis: Preparedness, Response, and Recovery, (v) Health and Care (that include WASH), (vi) Logistics, each of them led by the Deputy Regional Director. The position is located in Perú and reports directly to the Head of the Delegation CCD Andean countries with focus on programs and operations in Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador.

This position is part of the CCD for the Andean countries team, member of Americas Regional Office (ARO) team and has mandate for policy, operational and programmatic support to the members through Country and Cluster delegations, and directly when required. The CCD provides coordination in disaster management, high level representation of the IFRC, advocacy and communications, National Society capacity building, and resource mobilization, Regional Operational Plan of the CCD resourcing, partnership development. These are some of the essential elements to ensure an effective membership coordination and management of strategic partnerships and resources that support the work and increase the influence of IFRC and National Societies in the region.

Reporting to the HoCCD, the purpose of this position is to lead the IFRC Strategic and operational coordination at the delegation level in order to strengthen, develop and further expand the IFRCs inclusive partnerships and program development in line with regional and global priorities with the aim of maximizing the IFRC aligned strategic and operational direction setting with the membership.

**Strategic and operational Relationship Management and program development**:

- Lead the identification, development and management of IFRC’s strategic and operational inclusive partnerships and programs in the cluster delegation in collaboration with regional office’s departments.
- Support the Country Cluster Delegation in mapping and outreaching to membership and stakeholders in close collaboration with relevant colleagues in ARO.
- Develop and expand cooperation mechanisms with Movement partners to maximize coordinate program development, fundraising and advocacy potential.
- Coordinate with NS and PNS to ensure a unified planning and Federation-wide approach, including multilateral and bilateral partners, and including those within the region; liaise with the ICRC on all relevant matters
- Advise on Government partnerships in cooperation with respective partner National Societies and PRD ARO;
- Strengthen cooperation with multilateral and international financial institutions - such as the European Commission (in close coordination with EUNS), international cooperation agencies, development banks with country/regional presence, UN agencies, and specialized funds (e.g.: Global Fund, GAVI, GCF) and other donors with an interest in CCD countries.
- Lead on membership coordination ensurance with EUNSs and develop synergies and complementarities with regards to EC funding and programs (i.e. PP).
- Encourage synergies between internal and external partners of the Movement to implement the Regional Operation Plan for the CCD.
- Promote knowledge sharing of program development expertise amongst National Societies in the CCD and that links are facilitated with regional networks.
