Key Responsibilities:
LOCATION
Home-based in any country where World Vision International is registered to operate preferably Asia.
JOB PURPOSE
Provide strategic leadership and guidance to region and field offices in East Asia for holistic expressions of our commitment to our vision, mission, and values through integrated and contextualized strategies consistent with our faith perspectives in strategy and programs bearing restrictions in local contexts. Engage with regional faith-based and non-faith-based entities to encourage strategic alliances to enhance our shared mission for the well-being of children.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Strategy (25%)- Advising and guiding regions and field offices on alignment with the Strategic Imperatives of the Partnership Strategy and guidelines and tools for considering and integrating faith and transformational development in programming.- Provide strategic guidance to field offices for integrating faith perspectives in country strategies, programs, projects, business plans, etc.- Advise and guide field offices in learning, research, and evidence-building for faith and development in programming.- Guide and support a better understanding of faith considerations in multi-faith and restricted contexts and support the development of programs for deeper understanding and collaboration with people and organizations of different faiths.
Operational & Technical Support (35%)- Advise and support field offices in key business processes (strategy refresh, CSIP, ASR, TP evaluations, etc.) to ensure continuous faith consideration in programming.- Engage with and contribute to developing global policies, guidelines, and standards regarding Faith & Development (F&D) from an East Asian regional perspective.- Advise and support the capacity-building, contextualization, implementation, and scaling up of faith-based project models, approaches, and tools in programs to enhance the well-being of children.- Guide and support field offices' F&D lead on implementing and improving F&D plans and programs in their contexts.- Support field offices in the mutual exchange of ideas and information and assist in developing and distributing related resource materials.
Capacity Building & Knowledge Management (15%)- Advise on and guide continuous learning related to faith and transformational development and its integration with different sectors and themes.- Guide and support mutual sharing of F&D practices and learning among regional field offices.- Guide and support documentation and strengthen empirical evidence on the contribution of faith toward improved outcomes of child well-being.- Share promising F&D practices and encourage continuous learning, research, and evidence-building.
Internal/External Liaison and Coordination (15%)- Engage with different sectors internally to consider integrating faith perspectives in programs that support field office programs wherever relevant.- Engage and collaborate with external entities to learn and strengthen the integration of faith perspectives in regional development programs.- Work with support offices when needed to strengthen the integration of F&D in regional projects and programs.- Leverage networks, partnerships, learning, and collaboration with FBOs and like-minded organizations for F&D initiatives and programs.
Quality Assurance (10%)- Assist field offices to ensure their adherence to policies, protocols, and standards related to F&D programming.- Guide and support field offices to maintain the quality of faith-based model implementation, program objectives, and performance indicators.- Guide and support the contextualized integration of faith perspectives in programs and their implementation for effective cooperation and mutual understanding with people of other faiths and none in programs and contexts.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE- Tertiary qualifications in Theology, Social Sciences or International Studies, Development Studies, or a Business-related degree with experience in the social sector.- Excellent English language skills (oral and written).- At least four years of experience working in community development, organizational development, and related fields.- Demonstrated skills in engaging with internal and external entities in resourcing, designing, implementing, and monitoring programs and projects.- Proven ability to work in diverse cultural and faith contexts and with people of different faiths, especially in Buddhist and restricted contexts.- Good understanding of the Christian perspectives and rationale for engaging in community development and huma
