The Deputy Patron Services Manager's primary responsibilities are to oversee the Front of House Department, Food & Beverage operations, and Stage Door operations. The Deputy Patron Services Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all public areas in the theatre, including food and beverage activities, front of house and Stage Door, by controlling all procedures and the work directions of staff in these areas. This includes hiring and training of staff, maintaining and updating training modules. Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of management experience in hospitality or theatre operations. Management level experience in food and beverage operations is essential for this position. Previous theatre or performing arts venue experience is preferred. Comprehensive staff management experience including team leading, hiring experience, and training development is required. Australian work rights are required for this position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Recruit, induct and develop all departmental employees according to the HMT Agreement, the Fair Work Act, HMT's Policies and Procedures. - Report daily sales figures. - Manage and reporting of Venue Seating allocations, and event seating allocation with ticketing agent. - Liaising with HMT's VIP patrons, hotel concierges, and other VIP guests to maintain and encourage repeat clientele. - Allocate rosters for Front of House and Stage Door. - Authorising staff timesheets, auditing departmental payroll and administration of Human Force software. - General reception duties, and Stage Door relief when required. - Planning & implementing order and receiving of F&B stock and supplies. - Performing a monthly stocktake of all F&B products and supplies. - Entering all invoice data into Restoke and forwarding onto Accounts for payment. - Receiving all function enquiries and bookings. - In consultation with the Patron Services Manager, driving the preparation and implementation of new business projects for the Patron Services Department. - Work as the acting Front of House Supervisor on the Wednesday matinee, to oversee all FoH activities during a performance. - Must be able to perform the role of HMT Chief Warden and carry out HMT Emergency Management Procedures. - Upkeep of Front House uniforms.
