Title III Research Analyst

Salary range: $45,000 - $48,000

Reports to: Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness Planning

Remote work: In person upon hiring, hybrid option available post training

Location: Lima, OH

Institution: Rhodes State College

The Research Analyst is a grant funded position which reports to the Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness Planning (IEP) in collaboration with the Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs (VPEMSA). The Research Analyst will support Title III initiatives through the collection, tracking, analysis, evaluation and visualization of data for decision-making and reporting grant project goals. The Research Analyst works as part of the Rhodes State College Institutional Research (IR) team to develop and maintain data dashboards/visualizations, assist with data requests (as needed), and create other data-informed materials which augment the availability, accessibility, and use of resources. This position will be based on the main campus and eligible for some remote work.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

- Serve as a member of the Title III Grant core team, including attending regular meetings and providing data for grant activities;
- Interpret internal and external data dashboards and other data visualizations related to project activities;
- Coordinate the gathering and analysis of data for the purposes of grant reporting and compliance;
- Assist with management of multiple databases;
- Co-create professional development opportunities for faculty and staff to cover requesting, interpreting, and utilizing institutional data;
- Create reports related to Title III that summarize data using clear and concise charts and tables;
- Maintain a secure data environment, and ensure confidentiality of information secured and controlled by Institutional Research;
- Perform other duties as required.

Required qualifications:

- Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
- Experience in writing functional specifications and documentation.
- Responsive to data needs and have the ability to effectively organize projects.
- Detail oriented, with a focus on quality, accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and possess good interpersonal skills.
- Experience with the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data for reporting and decision-making, survey design and analysis of results.

Preferred qualifications:

- Use of MS SQL Management Studio.
- Working knowledge of relational database technology, data mining, and higher education administrative systems; experience with Ellucian Banner and Tableau a plus.
- Experience in higher education, with the National Student Clearinghouse, use of StudentTracker and reporting to the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).
