Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Care Technician to join our team at Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic. As a key member of our rehabilitation unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.
About the Role:
- This is a part-time position, working evening shifts.
- You will assist nursing staff and physicians with various patient care and non-patient care activities.
- As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for performing tasks in a caring and efficient manner that supports customer service and assists with department-related housekeeping, supply, equipment, and facility maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, quality patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
- Participate in the provision of care that meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
- Assist with patient transfers, vital signs, and other basic care activities.
- Perform routine housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
- A High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in healthcare, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- CNA certification preferred.
Working Conditions:
As a Patient Care Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to highly adverse environmental conditions, including physical hazards, health and safety risks, and otherwise undesirable characteristics in the environment.
Possible Exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens: Yes
Salary Range: $30,000 - $40,000 per year
