The American Planning Association Ohio Chapter seeks an experienced Executive Director to lead its efforts in urban planning. This position requires a professional with a strong background in policy and program development, as well as experience in grant preparation and budget analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the annual Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) and maintaining strong relationships with federal and state sources of funding.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement strategic plans that anticipate future opportunities and challenges in urban planning.
- Supervise professional, technical, and clerical staff members.
- Administer ongoing planning programs, including transportation planning, population and land use analyses, and zoning regulations.
- Maintain a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license.
**Requirements**
- A State of Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) license or a Master's degree in planning or a related field is required.
- Four years of progressively responsible planning experience is necessary.
- AICP certification is preferred.
- Documented grant writing capabilities and previous administrative experience are required.
