A Lead Python Developer at Oceans can expect to work on multiple projects, work with a cross-functional team, and are transparent about time and tasks to help clients understand the progress of their projects.

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, develop, and deploy backend solutions independently or in collaboration with a small development team.
- Rapidly prototype solutions and create Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for client demonstration in an agile manner.
- Write efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code to fulfill project requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to grasp project goals and translate them into technical requirements.

**Job Requirements**
- Great English proficiency (B2+ Written and spoken)
- 5+ years of experience in Software Development
- Impeccable punctuality (schedules are flexible but being in time for meetings is crucial
- The role requires an individual who can influence and communicate effectively with team members and business partners at a Lead Engineer level.
- Proficiency in Front-End technologies such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.
- Knowledge of Python (Django), SQL (Postgres), AWS services (S3, Fargate, ElastiCache, RDS), Terraform, Athena, Step Functions, and Elasticsearch.
- Understanding of AWS, CloudFront, and load balancers.
- Experience building enterprise software with complex business rules and data models.
- Proficiency in designing and developing microservices or other distributed systems.
- Experience with scaling to handle large data sets.
- Effective communication and influence skills at a senior engineer level.
- Proficiency in Agile software development methodology.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence team members and business partners at a senior engineer level.
- Proficiency in Agile software development methodology, processes, and practices.

**Nice to have**
- Java
- Containers - Terraform, Docker
- Previous experience with Portals
- Adhering to SDLC
- Flutter experience.
- Consulting experience strongly preferred.

**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work**

This is a full-time consultancy, with up to 40 weekly hours during regular business times. We operate under a flexible core hours policy to accommodate various schedules, allowing consultants to perform during their peak productivity times. Additionally, wSe offer the flexibility to work remotely.

- Vue.js: 2 years (preferred)
