Safety Program Coordinator

**DUTIES**:
The incumbent serves as the assistant to the Post Occupational Safety and Health Officer (POSHO) at a mid-level capacity, supporting the POSHO in managing the daily operations of the Office of Safety Health and Environmental Management (SHEM) and the Office of Fire Protection (FIRE) programs at post as required by the Department's regulations and policies. Key responsibilities include ensuring that all government-owned and leased properties in country comply with the requirements outlined in all relevant departmental regulations. The incumbent assists with safety surveys, report preparation, and follow-up inspections to ensure compliance. The incumbent also provides safety trainings in accordance with SHEM requirements and performs administrative duties.
The incumbent will conduct inspections and investigations to sites outside office premises, workshops and utility buildings.
**Experience**: Three years of experience in the maintenance or construction field performing repair work as a maintenance supervisor or team lead or in the field of occupational safety as a safety inspector or quality control assurance inspector.
Must have a **valid driver's license **with at least **five** **years** of driving experience.
**Education**: Minimum two years post-Secondary studies at the College/University level or a Vocational training certificate in facilities management, environmental safety, construction, engineering, or architecture.
