The Opportunity
This job is to lead in the control, management and co-ordination of the project to ensure these are delivered to agreed budget, time and required safety and quality standards.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Being aware of the stages of a project lifecycle in particular sports infrastructure and major events.
- Understanding the principles of project management and directing the delivery of infrastructure projects.
- Managing risk based on knowledge of models, and tools used to quantify.
- Planning by using different techniques and software like Gantt charts, critical path analysis and basic knowledge of MS Project
- Stakeholder management.
About you
You have experience delivering sports or major events projects. You have good administration skills. You have knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. You have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Health and Safety regulation, contract law, environment and building regulations is desired. Knowledge of key project processes such as design principals and management, construction sequence and processes, procurement and tendering is desired.
You have a civil engineering or project management degree or other construction related qualification. You have experience delivering major infrastructure projects, using international forms of contract. You have a good understanding of the design/build process for large complex projects. Experience in the LATAM market is preferred. Spanish and English language proficiency is essential. Education in HND or equivalent level and being member of the CIOB is desired.
You have the ability to manage contractors and other stakeholders. You are able to build and maintain key relationships and work in a collaborative way with all stakeholders. You are able to work in a pressurised environment. You are enthusiastic and able to inspire others. You have the ability to adapt to and manage change. It is desired that you are a good communicator, with influencing and negotiating skills. You are results and quality focussed. You have good analytical and problem-solving skills, using a flexible pragmatic approach.
You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
