The Opportunity

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking assistant project manager to join our established and growing team in Peru.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

- Preparing basic risk registers and assessments.
- Developing basic project programs.
- Drafting and contribution to briefs.
- Drafting reports.
- Drafting and supporting development of procedure documents for specific projects.
- Reviewing technical documentation.
- Preparing, managing, and reviewing tender documents.
- Supporting with document control - QA reviews and checks.

About you

You have a relevant degree qualification. You have the understanding of the principles of design, construction methodology, as well as tools used to quantify and manage risk. You have the knowledge of planning techniques and software e.g. Gantt charts, critical path analysis and basic knowledge of MS Project and effective use of data management systems.
You have previous experience on a similar project. You have good administration skills and good knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. You have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, contract law, environment and building regulations is desired. Knowledge of key project processes such as design principals and management, construction sequence and processes procurement and tendering is desired. Experience in the LATAM market would be preferred. You have proficiency in English and Spanish languages. Education in HND or equivalent level as well as being a member of the CIOB is desired.
You have a civil engineering or project management degree or other construction related qualification. You have experience delivering major infrastructure projects, as well as NEC contract knowledge. You have good understanding of the design/build process for large complex projects.
You have the ability to manage contractors and other stakeholders, build and maintain key relationships, and work in a pressurised environment. You are enthusiastic and able to inspire others. You are able to adapt to and manage change. You are a good communicator, with influencing and negotiating skills. You are results and quality focussed individual. You have good analytical and problem-solving skills, using a flexible pragmatic approach.
You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
