About the Department
The Service Business Line - Spare Parts - Excel Foundry & Machine focuses on delivering high-performance spare parts, aftermarket solutions, and services tailored to our mining customers’ most demanding operational needs. By combining technical expertise with customer-focused strategies, we ensure uptime, reliability, and long-term value creation across the SAMER (South America Region).
Key Accountabilities- Drive sales of qualified projects, contributing to business growth and profitability.- Lead preparation of project plans, milestones, and resources to deliver proposals that meet client expectations while ensuring favourable terms for FLSmidth.- Set direction for cross-functional teams to ensure proposals are complete, competitive, and aligned with customer needs.- Monitor project progress, recommend corrective actions, and ensure proposals are delivered on time.- Conduct client meetings, representing technical and commercial aspects of the sales process.- Build and maintain strong networks inside and outside FLSmidth to identify and capture new opportunities.- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration within the team and across stakeholders.- Manage a team of senior individual contributors and/or managers, ensuring alignment to strategy and short-term operational objectives.
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).- Minimum 10 years’ experience in mining, aftermarket, or industrial sales, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.- Proven track record in project sales, negotiation, and contract management.- Strong understanding of mining equipment, spare parts, and service business dynamics.- Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and execute market penetration initiatives in South America.- Advanced English and Spanish (written and spoken).- Strong commercial acumen with experience influencing at senior customer levels.
