We are looking for a strong leader, creative, results oriented and with deep knowledge of the professional services industry, to lead Dentons’ regional Clients and Markets, Marketing and Communications area in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Director leads the development, implementation and monitoring of the Clients and Markets, Marketing and Communications plan for the region to maximize opportunities, leverage tools and scale, and share of best practices. The Director also advises Latin America and the Caribbean leadership on market trends, opportunities, and offerings, and on how best to realize these opportunities through practices and sectors. The Director is a member of the global Clients & Markets leadership team, driving engagement between the region and other parts of our Firm to capitalize on best practices, resources, funds, events, and campaigns, and to ensure we go to market in a way that enhances our brand regionally and globally.
The role involves close interaction with the regional CEO, with other members of the Latin America and the Caribbean team, and with the Firm globally to drive local, regional, and global initiatives.
The role requires a deep understanding of (i) the legal profession, (ii) clients’ needs, (iii) the practices, sectors, and service lines in which the Firm operates, and (iv) the Firm, its clients, its policies and best practices, its talent, and its technology tools.
**Requirements**:
- **Strategic planning and implementation; strategic advice**:
- Develop and ensure implementation of the regional plan for Clients and Markets, Marketing and Communications, aligned with our global strategy and regional priorities.
- Regularly advise LAC leadership and partners on market trends and client opportunities, and on planning and implementation of Clients & Markets, Marketing and Communications campaigns.
- **Client Development Initiatives and Proposals**:
- Ensure knowledge of our markets and market trends, and advise on strategies to position the Firm in light of market conditions and trends.
- Ensure knowledge of our clients, their needs, and our relationships, enhancing client and financial data (coordinating with finance as needed), and implementing client surveys.
- Support the identification of targets and the definition of our service offering.
- Coordinate the preparation of client proposals and firm presentations including the solutions we offer at a regional and global level, considering client needs and market trends, and ensuring a consistent go-to market approach in line with our global strategy, the Dentons’ brand, communications guidelines and our value proposition.
- Establish, implement and monitor process to ensure that proposals (i) are efficiently prepared, (ii) are effective, (iii) and allow us to measure results.
- Establish, implement and monitor strategies to optimize the closing of engagements.
- Define and maintain client care programs.
- Contribute to the evolution of our delivery model.
- **Represent the region in global forums**:
- Represent the region as a member of the global Clients & Markets, Marketing and Communications leadership team, actively participating in meetings and initiatives to ensure the region (i) contributes to shaping the global strategy (ii) engages in the execution of global initiatives and leverages global resources so that those can be efficiently shared with and leveraged by the region and each of its members.
- **Lead the Clients and Markets, Marketing and Communications area in the region**:
- Support profile definition and recruitment processes, and develop and implement onboarding process for the team.
- Coordinate with local teams and regional support to ensure sharing of campaigns and best practices.
- Ensure global initiatives are known and leveraged in the region, including locally.
- Ensure the preparation of regional materials and resources, establishing, implementing and monitoring processes to ensure availability of brochures, credentials, key contacts and other sales materials.
- Ensure support to regional practice and sector groups, and to the global groups when applicable, supporting their strategy, the availability of marketing materials, and the efficiency of profile raising activities.
- Ensure and support the planning and implementation of profile raising activities.
- Support directory and award submissions at the local level and global level, identify awards and develop strategies to increase recognition.
- Support regional digital marketing activity for efficient and consistent publication of news and alerts in social media.
- Lead internal communications at the regional level.
- Coordinate the organization of regional and global meetings.
