The focus of the District Sales Executive (DSE) is on achieving results that are aligned with the overall organization and it's strategic goals. Initiative, coupled with a sense of competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions, are the keys to achieving the performance objectives of the District Sales Executive role at Expeditors.
The DSE orchestrates involvement of multiple people in our Sales process, so that new customer revenue is consistently secured for our district office and Expeditors network. The job environment is flexible, constantly changing, and provides growth opportunity, recognition and reward for the achievement of business results. This position reports to the District Sales Manager.
**Key Deliverables**
These are the minimum results expected from a successful District Sales Executive:
- Manage a territory by following up with Sales leads and developing new business relationships/customer accounts through joint sales call efforts.
- Expert at quantifying solutions and profitably securing business relationships.
- Manage appointments, account activity, and sales calls through the use of a CRM tool.
- Provide consultation to customers regarding the use of technology to drive supply chain optimization.
- Market and leverage our broad menu of logístical services and global network resources to ensure the best solution, pricing, and support for customers.
- Work collaboratively with Product Managers, Account Management, and the operational team to ensure customer transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Keep updated on product and industry knowledge by obtaining required certifications.
- Participate in ongoing product, industry, and career development training.
- Maintain a stellar relationship with peers and other internal partners to foster a culture of accountability and total business success.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 years B2B sales experience, preferably in global logistics.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in MS Office tools - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in prospecting and achieving monthly goals.
- Strong business acumen.
- Extroverted, confident, enthusiastic, teachable, and persuasive.
- Strong rapport and relationship-building skills with experience in a service-based consultative sales approach.
- High level of commitment to exceptional customer service and relationship building.
- Ability to work productively both individually and in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
- Excellent closing and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Hunter sales mentality - goal-driven and self-motivated
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Experience with business operating systems and current industry technologies
- Propensity to successfully manage priorities and respond to deadlines ahead of schedule.
- Sense of urgency for goal achievement.
- Great time management and organizational skills with the willingness to make numerous prospecting and in-person calls per day.
