The opportunity
We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking contract manager to join our established and growing team in Peru.
Following severe damages caused by climate cycle El Nino in Peru in 2017, the Department for International Trade (DIT) has a G2G agreement with the Government of Peru to support the crucial reconstruction of public services facilities.
The UK delivery team will deliver technical assistance in relation to the provision of schools, medical facilities and flood resilience programmes. This major infrastructure programme is critical for Peru’s economic recovery from the damage caused by El Nino.
Working as part of the UK Delivery Team (UKDT) for the Reconstruction with Changes programme supporting to manage income and cost across the Joint Venture. The person will be responsible for the effective administration of the Joint Venture operating contract, as well as effective monitoring of current and projected cash inflows and outflows.
The person will work closely with the client team, supporting collaborative and efficient ways of working.
Project: Reconstruction with changes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and being responsible of all Joint Venture (JV) work orders (updates and changes as required).
- Collating high-quality invoice submissions and supporting documentation packs for monthly JV invoicing.
- Reviewing and assuring of supporting documentation for monthly JV invoicing, and coordination of JV response to observations raised by Client.
- Reporting directly to the programme director.
- Being a point of contact for coordination of JV commercial matters, including liaison with JV, Client, Peruvian accountants and tax managers, as well as Mace support services.
- Managing of Mace income workbook for the programme.
- Supporting and providing commercial/financial information requested by Finance Team.
About you
You have a relevant degree qualification and experience in a similar role. You have membership of, or working towards, RICS, APM, CIOB or equivalent relevant professional institution in the country. You have previous experience of working in the construction industry projects. You have experience of working in a fast-paced programme environment. You have experience working with a joint venture or consortium.
You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
