What are we looking for

The
Insurance Coordinator
plays a vital role in ensuring patients have a smooth and positive experience by managing both appointment scheduling and insurance-related processes. This position requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a patient-centered approach to communication. The Insurance Coordinator serves as a bridge between patients, providers, and insurance companies, ensuring timely appointments, accurate documentation, and efficient claims management.

Key Responsibilities

Appointment & Patient Coordination

  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Send reminders, follow-up on missed appointments, and handle voicemails.
  • Manage prescription refills, lab results communication, recare scheduling, and general inquiries.
  • Conduct tele-encounters and triaging when needed.
  • Collect patient demographics and insurance details accurately.
  • Support payment collection and ensure proper documentation in the Patient Management System (PMS).

Insurance Verification & Eligibility

  • Perform eligibility checks for new and established patients.
  • Document insurance eligibility details in the PMS.
  • Verify coverage and benefits before services are rendered.

Insurance Claims Management

  • Submit insurance claims accurately and on time.
  • Track claim status and follow up as required.
  • Upload Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) in the PMS.
  • Manage claim denials, including appeals and resubmissions.
  • Maintain clear records of all claim-related communication and actions.
  • Verify prior authorizations

Requirements
:

  • Bachelor's degree in Translation & Interpretation or a Medical field or
  • At least 2 years of Medical Interpretation or US Health Insurance experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification, eligibility checks, and claims submission.
  • Familiarity with claim denials, appeals, and resubmissions.
  • Familiarity with Patient Management Systems (PMS) or Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Ability to collect and maintain accurate patient demographics and insurance data.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, data entry, digital communication tools).
  • Minimum Internet speed of 100 MBPS fiber connection.
