Procurement and Logistic Analyst

Overview of Position:
The purpose of a Buyer, Procurement & International Logistics is to service the purchasing requirements in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This is a transactional role that follows Purchasing & Logistics rules for the purchase and transport of equipment to supply Product Sales or Managed Services.

What you will do:

- Ownership and accountability for procurement in region
- Ensure compliance with Global Supply Chain policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Negotiations with vendors focusing to achieve savings and high-quality deliveries.
- Negotiate better payment term as possible.
- Complete vetting process for new vendors.
- Process requisitions through ERP ensuring purchase orders are placed in compliance with negotiated pricing.
- Manage purchase order acknowledgements.
- Expedite and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Determine equipment availability prior to making purchases.
- Liaise between supplier and shared services team to resolve invoice/payment issues.
- Ownership and accountability for international logistics in region (inbound & outbound).
- Ensure all logistics requirements are completed in accordance with local laws and regulations
- Ensure all shipments are completed to ensure on-time delivery of equipment.
- Ensure all logistics paperwork required is trade compliant to prevent delay.
- Develop and optimize transportation and logistics network to improve customer service.
- Identify opportunities for ‘opportunistic’ costs savings and execute.
- Implement corrective actions with suppliers who fall below expected levels of performance.
- Promote a health & safety environment within designated location.
- Report any health & safety or environmental concerns pertaining to your location as required.
- Ensure all mandatory training/certifications are completed prior to expiry dates.
- Support any global or regional initiatives that improve customer service, productivity, or cost savings.

What we need from you:

- University diploma in related areas (Administration/Logistics/Engineering/Accounting)
- Sound understanding of the procurement process
- Sound understanding of role of transaction procurement within organization
- Sound understanding of the international logistic process (Incoterms of the International Chamber of Commerce, customs process with brokers support, etc.)
- A good communicator and collaborator
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to make decisions to maintain an ‘agile’ business.
- Excellent time management skills
