About the Role:
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for 2nd level client support and services. This position works closely with other IT departments for incident and problem resolution, and service request fulfillment within agreed service level. Tasks include:
1. Maintain applications on end user devices: install/uninstall, troubleshoot, data recovery and maintain applications, products and equipment.
2. Maintain the estate of end user devices: Identify, analyze and repair equipment failures. Order and replace parts/material as needed.
3. Maintain other equipment including printers, scanners, warehouse equipment such as RDTs, etc.
4. Be the local hands and eyes for network and server equipment based locally.
5. Determine, recommend and test which products or software best suit our customers' needs.
6. Provides training guidance to end-users, ensuring delivery of high quality and proactive support.
7. Escalate incidents to next level support when the solution is unknown or cannot be solved within defined time frames.
What You'll Do:
1. Provide first and second level support for incidents and service requests to business colleagues. (70%)
2. Perform problem resolution and investigation into incidents. (10%)
3. Take part in Technology projects as required, either as the local IT colleague or as part of a wider global endeavor. (10%)
4. Maintains asset inventories, ensures stock of devices and peripherals is appropriate, orders new equipment etc. (10%)
What We're Looking For:
1. 3 to 5 Years of relevant work experience.
2. Associate Degree with Systems Engineering or Related field of study required.
3. Other Education / Certifications: MCSE, SCCM, ITIL Foundation, CCENT. Knowledge of common TD SYNNEX applications.
4. Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
5. Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
6. Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
7. Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.
8. Possesses strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills.
9. Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.
10. Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities.
11. Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
12. Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
13. Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others.
14. Able to exhibit ability to be sensitive to the needs, concerns, and feelings of others.
15. Able to quickly learn new systems and technology.
16. Able to use relevant computer system applications at an advanced level.
Working Conditions:
1. Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.
2. On-call availability required as necessary.
3. Professional, office environment.
4. Some travel required.
