Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities of the role)
Brand
1. Be fully conversant with the brand, its standards and its DNA (visual and written communication, product, service, distribution e.g. brand Packages)
2. Manage brand compliance for the hotel to grow the equity of the hotel and outlet brands and the brand equity across all channels
3. Manage all marketing/promotional/sales collateral development/production both on and off line
4. Monitor all printed materials to ensure adherence to corporate identity standards
5. Serve as hotel spokesperson, when appointed by General Manager, to make all official statements for hotel to media, especially during crisis situations
Communications/Public Relations
1. Manage a fully integrated communications calendar for the Hotel around events, food and beverage, public holidays, need periods
2. Establish and maintain a relationship with Key local press and local media
3. Liaise with the regional Communications team to maximize communications exposure
4. Ensure all visual and written communication (internal/external, offline/online) is fully aligned with the hotels positioning and brand
Sponsorship:
1. Identify opportunities to further expose the hotel and maximize revenue opportunities through sponsoring local sport/cultural/art events that are aligned with the hotel positioning and are sound in delivering a strong ROI
2. Drive the marketing and communication (internal and external) of the Hotels CSR commitments
Loyalty & Partnerships
1. Ensure that ALL is robustly promoted in the hotel and champion a loyalty culture
2. Ensure the hotel ALL recognition program is followed and according to the brand promise
3. Drive the revenue potential across both rooms and food and beverage from Accor Advantage Plus members with timely offers and account management of the Accor Advantage Plus offices
4. Identify complimentary Partnership opportunities to grow the hotel equity (always ensuring our own Loyalty and Subscription programs are protected)
5. In conjunction with the Director of Revenue manage country, regional and global partnership opportunities with airlines and financial institutions
Digital Marketing:
1. Effectively manage the hotel’s content and images through conducting regular website audits
2. Proactively explore all online opportunities for the hotels including but not limited to; local business opportunities, city/regional tourism organizations
3. Manage the hotels’ website – traffic and revenue generation, promotional content display
4. Manage the hotel email database and e communication activity
5. Manage online advertising for the hotel (display banners, SEM/PPC etc.)
6. Manage the online promotion for conference and catering and food and beverage activity at the hotel
7. Set-up, manage social media accounts and sharing sites as relevant to the hotels markets (Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Flickr etc.) and develop social networks
8. Monitor various media for positive and negative comments and discussions about the Hotel (Trip advisor, Blogs, and Forums). Take part in conversations and answer comments as a mediator
9. Maintain photo/electronic library of hotel Executive Committee and all other aspects of hotel
10. Establish PR & Communications programs that will benefit and support sales and F&B strategies and initiatives
11. Report to appropriate party’s negative comments and discussions
12. Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding our hotel
13. Recommend new alternatives or ideas to develop the Hotel’s online marketing strategies
Team Management
1. Interview, select and recruit team members
2. Identify and develop team members with potential
3. Conduct performance review with the team
4. Constantly monitor team members’ appearance, attitude and degree of professionalism
5. Develop, conduct and maintain all staff training programs for team members, focusing on their development needs, providing them with new skills to meet the changing needs of the business
Other Responsibilities
1. Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
2. Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
3. Be aware of the hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
4. Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management
Qualifications
1. 3 years of relevant experiences or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experiences.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications or related field
3. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
4. Be creative and innovative
5. Well groomed at all times to maintain a professional impression of the hotel
6. Excellent guest and client relations
7. Be results focused and be able to implement activities to drive revenue
8. Be very proficient in Microsoft applications
9. Establish a good understanding of TARS, Accor distribution & pricing
10. Have excellent English and Vietnamese written and verbal communication skills
11. Extremely proactive with all activities to support the hotel
12. Be able to work effectively as part of a dynamic team
