Job Description - Challenge yourself in a leadership role where you will provide strategic and expert resolution of issues and monitor the integration of work. - Ensure seamless operation across various business units. - Full-time permanent position based at our LAX hangar. - Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 USD per year (plus bonus). Qantas Engineering maintains the fleet and aircraft for third-party customers, underpinning Qantas' success. As the Manager Maintenance and Engineering, you will oversee multiple business units, including engineering/line maintenance, operation controls, planning, and supply chain. Responsibilities include developing projects, managing resources, ensuring safety and compliance, and leading transformation initiatives in collaboration with senior management. Responsibilities - Manage engineering disciplines and maintenance operations. - Handle project management concerns such as cost, deadlines, and resources. - Provide technical resolution and oversee major projects. - Monitor transformation programs and projects, including risks and dependencies. - Offer strategic advice to executive leadership and support decision-making. - Ensure technical compliance with regulatory requirements and standards. Essential Criteria - 10+ years of leadership in aviation engineering, with experience managing large teams. - Experience managing over 200 employees under collective agreement. - Deep knowledge of CASA, EASA, FAA, and international airport regulations. - Engineering degree or equivalent experience; delegated approvals from authorities preferred. - Recognized authority in engineering, respected internationally. - Strategic mindset with ability to drive operational excellence. - Proven leadership and talent development skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to collaborate across various company departments and external partners.
