About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Trade Expert with Customs Focus to join our team at Trafigura. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of customs procedures, including the regularization of DAMS (Customs Declarations of Goods) for Exports and Imports.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Customs Expertise: Perform all activities related to Foreign Trade, working closely with the operations area and customs agents to ensure accurate documentation and timely customs approval.

  2. Coordinate with various departments to achieve compliance with export and import regulations, including Operations, Accounting, WSMD, and Finance.

  3. Support Customs Audit: Assist with customs audit requirements and coordinate the preparation of necessary documents.

  4. Reporting: Monitor the status of Export and Import DAMS, preparing reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience working in a Customs agent environment.

  • Proven strategic thinking and business planning skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

  • Bilingual: English and Spanish.
