At Kubota Australia and New Zealand we wholesale and distribute exceptional quality agriculture, construction, power equipment and products and provide after sales service and financing solutions. We wholesale to a large independent dealer network to ultimately see Kubota's products supporting our customers and communities. In your new role, you will lead our Sales and Marketing functions with a focus on Australian operations, to ensure we fulfil our 'For Earth For Life' purpose, vision and mission imperatives. You will ensure we transform and progress our business to achieve desired brand recognition and sustainable sales results over the long term. Key accountabilities include: Act as part of the Executive to undertake business planning and review and ensure effective overall leadership and decision making for the Kubota business in Australia with a focus on representing Sales and Marketing functions Undertake general management activity across Sales (including Product Management) and Marketing, including but not limited to; planning and organisation, effective management of human, capital and financial resources including budgeting, results management and intervention/ remediation, investment and development activity whilst ensuring legal and regulatory compliance Lead and ensure the performance and development of teams and team members to uplift capability/ ensure future capability to meet long term plans. Lead/ direct/ oversee dealer development strategy. Set, or oversee the setting of, policy and/or procedure for departments/ business areas and monitor compliance and outcomes. Responsible for compliance of department/ business area to legislation, regulation and company policy and procedure Lead and project manage major organisational projects and initiatives, including cross-functional or external focussed projects (as required) Actively champion and promote internal cross organisational initiatives and imperatives including in relation to vision/ mission, people, culture and OHS Prepare or review a range of reports for executive management decision making and for the monitoring of business area/ operations relative to required strategic and operational key performance indicators and imperatives. Take action to achieve balance and optimum results across all dimensions – customer, operations, people and financial (as appropriate) internally for the business and in support of Dealers Effectively represent and promote Kubota and its interests with dealers, at commercial or industry events (as required) To be successful in the role, your resume would include: Relevant tertiary qualification Substantial general management experience gained within a complex global business, ideally with a background in the industrial/ agricultural sectors Senior level, end to end/ hands on subject matter expertise across the depth and breadth of both marketing and sales Proven experience in setting direction, purpose and a business plan/ roadmap for a team and successfully managing to this. Proven track record in achieving strategic and operational business imperatives and results through a team Significant large team management experience, including effective performance management, delegation and results management via intermediate levels of management. Highly developed executive level interpersonal, relationship management, change management, negotiation, influencing and communication skills Intermediate computing skills and ability to use outputs from a wide range of applications (as relevant) Applied understanding of relevant legislation/ regulation relative to areas managed and general business management (eg. employment law, OHS law, franchise, business and consumer law).
