**About this role**:
What will you be responsible for?
Senior level position providing Owner’s project controls (cost estimating, cost control, scheduling and cost analysis) and administration support for large project.
**In this role you will**:
Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:
- Responsible for overseeing cost and schedule for both the EPCM and Owner’s scope.
- Act as primary Owner’s liaison with the EPC Contractor’s project controls team and manage controls activities per requirements in the prime EPC Agreement.
- Assure all project control procedures are in place and are in compliance with corporate policy and standards.
- Support Project Stage-Gate processes and peer reviews.
- Prepare capital cost forecast estimates for Owner’s scope and coordinate EPC’s contractor forecast.
- Implement trending process for Owner’s scope.
- Establish and maintain schedule of Owner’s scope integrated with EPC’s contractor requirements.
- Assist in preparation of AFE documentation.
- Review and audit the EPC Contractor’s cost reports to validate the data presented.
- Maintain accurate records of committed, expended and forecast owner’s costs associated with the project against the approved owner’s budget.
- Monitor the project’s costs and resource levels to maintain an accurate forecast cost at completion, including those reported by the EPC Contractor.
- Review and amend if necessary, all invoices, progress claims and variations from the Implementation Contractor and Construction Contractors submittals for payment.
- Review scope changes, trends and change notices initiated from the project management systems and review their time and cost implications, including those initiated by the EPC Contractor.
- Review the EPC Contractor’s reports in detail to ensure they are accurate, concise and informative on progress / costs to date and forecasts through to completion.
- Closely monitor the progress of engineering to ensure deliverables, productivity, expended hours, forecasts to go and resources employed, are accurately and realistically stated, including those presented by the EPC/EPCM Contractor.
- Provide recommendations on the draw-down of escalation and contingency throughout the project duration.
- Prepare cost data cost reports, change alert and variation registers, variance reports etc. ensure cost change variations are recorded and processed for work not covered under EPC scope.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts of forthcoming financial commitments. Prepare commitment curves for the project.
- Key interface with Project accountant.
- Prepare monthly status and cost reports including evaluations and presentation of current projected budgets; assess actual commitments and expenditures through a specified reporting period. Compares forecasts to the approval budget and provide explanations for any variances.
- Collect, analyze, and reduce capital and operating cost data to statistics and metrics for scoping, execution planning, and estimating costs for reporting.

**Education**:
- Bachelor of Science degree and minimum of 10 years’ experience including experience with greenfield and international projects, or an equivalent combination of training and experience are necessary.
**Experience**:
- At least 5 years field construction experience and at least 5 years in an E/C consulting environment are required.
- Must have project controls experience associated with major EPCM/EPC projects (TIC value greater than $300 million).
