Role Overview
We are seeking a
Trade Logistics Systems Research Fellow
to join ongoing projects focused on the Andean region's role in cross-border trade, regional corridor development, and port infrastructure planning. Based in Lima, the Fellow will support applied research and policy strategy for logistics modernization, particularly in connection with Pacific-facing trade hubs.
This is a high-impact role for professionals with a background in trade systems, economic geography, or infrastructure reform.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comparative analysis of Peru's logistics systems and corridor integration with regional partners
- Support the drafting of white papers, concept notes, and donor engagement briefs related to infrastructure investment
- Monitor regulatory reforms in customs, ports, and intermodal systems within the Pacific Alliance framework
- Assist in mapping economic zones, free trade areas, and port hinterland dynamics
- Prepare briefing materials and stakeholder engagement reports for public institutions and IFIs
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in International Trade, Development Economics, Transport Planning, or Public Policy
- 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure consulting, trade facilitation, or development policy
- Familiarity with Peru's trade corridors, port strategy (e.g. Callao), or regional economic cooperation platforms
- Strong analytical writing and policy research skills
