About the role

Risk at Revolut operates across all functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure the business operates safely. They're among the first to be involved in new initiatives, from tech to customer support.

We're looking for a Head of Risk to collaborate across departments on all areas of risk-based activities in LATAM. You'll lead risk management practices to raise awareness of relevant banking and payment regulations and ensure Revolut remains compliant at all times.

What you'll be doing

• Working with the first line of defense to identify potential risks and implement adequate mitigation
• Developing and implementing risk policies and procedures, key risk indicators (KRIs), and a risk appetite framework
• Designing and implementing risk management processes that are efficient and effective (minimal bureaucracy, maximum impact)
• Monitoring risks, triggering corrective actions, and/or producing reports as appropriate
• Liaising with regulators
• Building and managing a team of specialists
• Leading various projects to uplift risk management capabilities

What you'll need

• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills
• A proven track record in risk management, preferably within a banking, fintech, or payments environment
• Expertise in managing enterprise risk, operational risk, and/or compliance in a regulated environment
• Knowledge of legislation and regulation relating to banking activities, FX, and card schemes
• A technical background with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• A data-focused approach
• Leadership and stakeholder management skills and to enjoy taking ownership

Nice to have

• Experience in process engineering (Lean, Six Sigma)
• Proficiency in SQL
• A degree in business administration, engineering, economics, finance, or related field
• An MBA, CFA, CAIA, or FRM professional certification
