We are currently recruiting for an experienced
Contracts & Procurement Manager.
This role will be based in Peru, with an option for a site rotation preferred and will report to the Project Director.
We are looking for someone with vast experience managing large contractors and with passion and drive who is highly organized and can ensure that our high-quality standard is maintained.
With varied engineering, procurement and construction options, your skilled guidance in influencing project plan execution is crucial to delivering sustainable and successful outcomes for our clients.
About the role
- Lead a team of Buyers and Contract Administrators responsible for negotiating the best value for Ausenco, performing strategic analysis and decisionmaking to support the project execution plan.
- Provide negotiations/startup support, coaching and mentoring assistance to project contracts and procurement personnel.
- Support project initiatives by working closely and aligning with Engineering, Construction and Cost Control and providing direction in supplier evaluation, selection & management of purchasing and subcontract agreement negotiations, analytics, and pricing reviews.
- Support processes to ensure best in class service from Ausenco vendors for the project to meet costs and schedule.
- Evaluate and monitor purchase orders and contracts performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to review and monitor changes.
- Understand and manage procurement and contracting activities in an EPC and EPCM environment.
- Delegate appropriate responsibilities and assignments to team members.
- Tertiary qualified Diploma/Degree in Business or technical field.
- Extensive experience in a project environment managing procurement or contracts.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, possessing a high degree of professionalism and customer service. Complimented with demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and relationshipbuilding skills.
- High level of knowledge on using Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project or ERP systems like SmartPlant Materials would be an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, decisionmaking, and problemsolving abilities.
- Experience in the mining and minerals sector will be highly regarded.
- Superior interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to adapt to change.
- Capable of leading the negotiations with Supplier/Contractors on finalizing the terms and conditions in coordination with Finance, Legal, Tax.
