The SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration team is one of the fastest growing teams within the SAP Ariba Network, the largest business-to-business network in the world with over 3.6 million connected companies in over 190 countries. Our solution enables customers to manage and run an efficient supply chain and helps them collaborate with direct materials suppliers through innovative planning and execution processes.

**What you'll do**

**Leadership responsibilities**
- Responsible for supervising and managing the engineering team
- Responsible for management and advancement of individuals and teams
- Responsible for building a high performing team concerning engineering and social aspects
- This includes hiring the best people from within / outside the company, fostering motivation and integration of employees as well as team learning and development
- Actively address and resolves team issues
- Set clear goals with team members, inspires, and supports them towards accomplishing these goals and evaluates goal achievement in a fair and understandable way
- Create an environment of continuous learning and improvement
- Actively seek to coach and help with personal development
- Regularly offer feedback in an effort to help others develop
- Support team members in setting challenging development goals
- Support cross topics outside of their management scope.

**Software Engineering responsibilities**
- Work according to specifications and project plans
- Design activities include requirements analysis and design documentation
- Implementation activities include implementation, testing and integration
- Maintenance activities include error analysis and removal
- Extend, modify or adapt existing designs but may also be involved in the development of new (sub-)systems
- Drive and actively participate in the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP)
- Actively drive Customer Collaboration aligned with PO
- Contribute as a management stakeholder to long-living, maintainable, high-quality components that can easily be integrated to a product

**What you bring**

**Education and qualification**
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field and 7+ years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- The employer will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field and 5+ years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

**Work experience**

Leadership experience: at least 5 years in leading software engineering teams

Engineering experience: at least 7-10 years in some of the following:

- Cloud native solutions
- Writing scalable and accurate code with Go, Java, Kotlin, NodeJS and Javascript;
- Building and maintaining relationships with technical product managers, architects and technical leads;
- DevOps, including Continuous Delivery and Observability
- Docker
- Helm
- Kubernetes
- SAP BTP Managed services and Hyperscaler services
- SAP HANA Cloud
