Overview

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work as an Inside Sales Engineer at Emerson.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical solutions and general application assistance to customers.
  • Coordinating with other sales teams to provide bundled project quotations.
  • Working closely with customers, field sales, and field service to provide presales application support and generate formal quotations.
  • Leading the customer through the sizing and selection process to choose equipment that meets their needs.
  • Following up with customers to answer questions and logs.
  • Prioritizing excellent phone skills to handle presales technical sales support calls.
  • Supporting other ISEs and team members to maintain service levels.
  • Performing handover with operation and sales teams for quote conversion into orders.
  • Contributing to Continuous Improvements initiatives.
  • Maintaining individual performance levels and ensuring critical metrics align with targets.
  • Reviewing inventory regularly to quote stock options.
  • Applying factory pricing policy for correct gross profit on each order received.
  • Reviewing estimate inputs from functional departments and supervising cost reports and price forms.
  • Staying updated on competitive prices, new techniques, and cost trends.
  • Estimating project quantities and costs for major tenders efficiently.
  • Preparing all technical documentation for bids.
  • Remaining available to customers mostly within the office setting.
  • Recording incoming quotations and orders in CRM following Proposals Guidelines.
  • Working with scheduled closing dates arranged by Customer Care department.
  • Verifying incoming purchase orders for product selection and sizing correctness.
  • Delivering clean orders to Intercompany Cell.
  • Fostering a culture of ethics, vision, mission, and company values.
  • Achieving certification in product selling skills and applications knowledge as requested by the division.
  • Participating in required training, such as Trade Compliance and compliance with legal regulations and Corporate Policies.

Requirements include:

  • 4 or more years of experience in sizing, selecting, and preparing quotations for valves and actuators.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering.
  • Proficiency in English language with intermediate/advanced level skills.
  • Willingness to travel abroad for training.
  • Knowledge in quality management systems.
